… to show work in a Studio exhibition at Metàfora

At Metáfora the tradition is to end every semester with an open art studio exhibition, where the students exhibit both artwork in progress and finished art projects in our ample spaces, for the occasion turned into showroom.

At the end of the autumn semester 2020, at Metàfora we managed to kick off our open studio event despite the COVID related restrictions. In a format which allowed both students, staff and visitors to be safe, the 2020 edition can be said to be our most peculiar, yet wonderful open studio event celebrated in our 20 year long history.

To celebrate art, to celebrate life

The dreams and ambitions of any artist is to show the art work produced. This experience is the essence of the way we teach art at Metàfora and our students have many chances to do so during their stay at the school.

Showing work is always a cause for celebration, and in the present video it is clear how the enthusiasm bubbles, even behind facemasks and hand disinfectant…

We thank everyone in our community for their respect and sense of responsibility towards the safety measures around the corona virus.  We cherish the fact that we have been able to keep our  activity running in-person at Metàfora, as a result of a conscious, joint community effort.
